May 31, 2018: Hotel Mandarin Oriental, Milan has launched three self-drive tours, where guests can explore the surrounding region in a vintage Alfa Romeo sports car. Itineraries include some of Northern Italy's most attractive and lesser-known destinations.
Guests booking the self-drive tours will take to the roads in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, built in 1955, which offers guest a complete vintage experience in comfort and style.
The three self-driven tours allow guests to immerse themselves in regional culture and learn first-hand from local artisans about their world-renowned craftsmanship. They will be to destinations rich in art and architecture, such as a visit to historic violin maker’s workshop in Cremona, learning to make handmade casoncelli pasta in Bergamo, and a visit to Villa Taranto at Lake Maggiore.
