Maserati launches Ghibli Trofeo & Quattroporte Trofeo

The newest luxury sedans are the fastest ever produced by the Italian automobile maker

August 11, 2020: Maserati has added two super sedans to its Trofeo collection called the Ghibli Trofeo and the Quattroporte Trofeo. They are the fastest cars from Maserati production and can reach the top speed of 326kph.

The range-topper cars are both powered by the Ferrari sourced 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine which is linked to a ZF derived eight-speed automatic gearbox. The V8 engine in these rear-wheel drive sedans is equipped to supply 572 bhp at 6,750 rpm along with 730 Nm of maximum torque at 2,250 – 5,000 rpm. An additional feature is the Corsa driving mode that allows faster gearshifts, improved throttle and engine control, opens the exhaust valves fully and monitors the interference of electronic chassis control systems.

Elegant and sporty, the latest Trofeo editions of Ghibli and Quattroporte flaunt some design alterations that are different from their earlier counterparts. Leather sports seats, new front grille in piano black finish, air vents with red accents are some of the changes. The most striking ones being the fresh set of tail lights and signature LED lights shaped like a boomerang. The cars boast a 10.1-inch touchscreen with the advanced Maserati Connect Infotainment system, which can be personalized according to the driver’s needs.

With such extraordinary features in place, the Ghibli Trofeo can go from 0 to 100 km/hr in 4.3 seconds while the Quattroporte Trofeo in 4.5 seconds.
