November 13, 2013: Miele has launched a Smart Rotary Iron which promises to iron clothes in no time, thus saving time, space and labour!
The rotary iron is simple to use, convenient and produces good results. Compared with work at the ironing board, rotary ironers save 30 per cent on a typical, mixed domestic load. In the case of flatwork, for instance table and bed linen, the saving is as high as 50 per cent. A roller length of 83 cm is sufficient to iron, for example, a pillowslip in one single pass. At the perfect height for sitting while ironing, the 83 cm wide roller provides you with plenty of space to iron the largest of duvet, covers, table cloths, napkins and other bulky items.
With its easy folding mechanism, the Miele rotary ironer only uses 0.2 sq m standing space. The four sturdy wheels make it easy to move. Ironing with the Miele rotary ironer is rendered particularly safe by the patented finger guard. At the slightest touch, the roller will stop and the heater plate will lift to ensure that you do not iron your fingers! There is also an emergency release button so that your clothes will not be trapped in the event of a power failure. The wide foot control bar starts and stops the rotary ironer, thereby keeping your hands free to feed the laundry items into the machine. The roller has five speed settings depending on your requirements, the fabric, residual moisture or simply your comfort level.
