Ming Yang at Taj Lands End Mumbai reopens after a revamp

Ming Yang signature dish, Taj Lands End MumbaiSeptember 24, 2015: True to its promise of fine Chinese cuisine, Ming Yang brings back its popular culinary legacy in a new format. The new design of the restaurant encapsulates culture and cuisine traditions in a subtle minimalistic format.

The specially curated menu incorporates both Sichuan and Cantonese dishes on the menu. The revamped menu now offers over 20 varieties of Dimsums. The Chicken Sesame Kothe, Butternut Squash Dumpling, and the delicately crafted Prawn Cheung Fun are sure to hit the right notes. The Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Pickled Chilli and Vegetable Thou-Sou are other additions to the menu.

Chef Anirudhya Roy, Executive Chef, Taj Lands End, says, “40% of diners today are vegetarian and hence it becomes extremely important to factor that in when creating a menu. While of course we do a lot of research in the process of crafting a menu, what helps us immensely is the fact that we know our guests. Dishes like the Radish Roll and Choi-Sum with Fresh Shitake Mushroom in Oyster Sauce are created using the freshest and highest quality vegetarian ingredients and also introduce flavour combinations that have never been explored in any other restaurant earlier.”

The new menu retains some timeless favourites like Ming Yang Chicken and Crispy Fried Sichuan Chilli Potato. The Ming Yang tea menu introduces 19 different varieties. To elevate the entire gastronomic experience, the food is served in elegant Narumi crockery with delicate ivory and wooden chopsticks and hints of embedded oyster shell.

The extensive cocktail menu introduces a contemporary twist to authentic flavours and is presented with great finesse using artisanal ice. Their signature cocktail, 'Since 1806', is a taste of history in a glass.

The center piece of the restaurant is the legendary silver imperial dragon holding a pearl representing the soul and power of the first Emperor. The auspicious powers of the dragon are resonated well within the interiors of the restaurant.
