Montegrappa welcomes back the Cigar pen

Montegrappa welcomes back the Cigar pen

May 31, 2017: A new limited edition Cigar pen has been released 20 years after Montegrappa issued the first Cigar edition. The Cigar Collection pen has an uncanny resemblance to that of a real cigar. It is made in special “Tobacco” celluloid, chosen for its combination of light brown with lighter streaks that mirror organic tobacco leaves.

The pen is available with trim in Sterling Silver or 18K Gold, and is offered as a fountain pen or a rollerball. The nib of the fountain pen is 18K gold, embroidered with the Montegrappa filigree pattern.

A detail that resembles an actual cigar is its roundish tip “to punch” that illuminates, adding to the cigar-smoking experience. It is a functional puncher that comes out of the pen cap when the cap is pulled downward. Its shape is classy and simple with metal along the outside, which declares the brand and year of foundation. There is no pocket clip, keeping up with the theme of precisely imitating a cigar, right down to its size.

Production of each piece is limited to 888 fountain and 888 rollerball pins, along with 88 of each in 18K Gold. For a special touch, it is packaged in the shape of a tobacco leaf.
