French luxury brands Guerlain and Chaumet have come together in a harmonious union to celebrate a significant milestone—the 170th anniversary of the Bee Bottle. This called for a creation that would encapsulate the essence of both perfumery and the numerous designs the Bee Bottle has undergone over the years.
To pay homage to the iconic creation, jewelry house Chaumet crafted the Bouquet de la Cour, an extraordinary piece, demanding nearly 270 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Hand-crafted in the hallowed halls of Chaumet’s workshop at 12, Place Vendôme, this one-of-a-kind creation is a sight to behold.
Its elegant curves are adorned with a meticulously chiseled gold honeycomb pattern, a testament to the unparalleled skill and dedication that went into its making. The bee emblem carries profound meaning for both brands, rooted in their historical ties to the French monarchy. The bee held a special place as an emblem favored by Napoleon Bonaparte, one of Chaumet’s notable patrons.
This symbol, now an exclusive hallmark of these brands, serves as a tribute to their illustrious and shared heritage. What makes “Bouquet de la Cour” truly exceptional is the dazzling display of 336 diamonds that grace its surface.
Beyond its exquisite aesthetics, the Bouquet de la Cour harbors a mesmerizing secret. Nestled discreetly within the bottle’s cap lies a ring adorned with a magnificent two-carat ‘Imperatrice’ Size cut diamond, skillfully crafted by Chaumet.
Marking the 170th anniversary of the Bee Bottle, Guerlain had collaborated with Lebanese designer Nadine Kanso as well, in May 2023. Recently, Guerlain also collaborated with Parisian brand Moynat to create a special trunk for the Bee Bottle.
