One of 100 to celebrate Maserati Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition

One of 100 to celebrate the Maserati Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition

Maserati Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition

July 30, 2014: After making its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt and Geneva Motorshows, the exclusive Maserati Quattroporte, developed in collaboration with Ermenegildo Zegna in a limited series of only 100 cars, went into production.

To celebrate the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition, which boasts a special finish in terms of colour, materials and trim, quality and exclusivity that link the traditions of Maserati and Zegna, the two Italian companies are launching a tour of four international events starting from Shanghai in July 2014, followed by New York (Sept 2014), Dubai (Feb 2015) and Milan (Spring 2015).

The events will present the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition to a select audience of guests, and also to celebrate the partnership between the two Italian brands. In exclusive locations carefully selected to display the uniqueness of this project, a special set-up will represent the Italian elegance. Guests will be able to see the car, discover its details and become fascinated by the extraordinary result of this partnership.

Famous Italian photographer, Fabrizio Ferri, has also been invited to the event. He will involve 100 eminent personalities, around 25 for each of the selected locations, to capture shots of their hands. Ferri will create a special photographic set in the same space that hosts the event, and will take photographs of personalities whose hands are the instruments of their jobs. The selected protagonists, among whom there are musicians, chefs, athletes and artisans, will have their hands portrayed in pictures that tell the story of their use, their inner communicative value, and express the character of their owners.

The pictures will be put together to create the book “One of 100”, which will collect both the shots of the hands taken during the four events, and the interior and exterior details of the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition, as well as of the owner’s collection. The book will emphasize the relationship existing between the details of the hands and those of the Quattroporte, the common value of what is “handmade” as a summary of artisanship, uniqueness, exclusivity and excellence, inner values and the DNA of the two brands. The book will be presented in Milan in the Spring of 2015.

Maserati and Zegna will also be supporting the restoration of the Fountain of Neptune, a monumental civic fountain located in the eponymous square, Piazza Nettuno, in Bologna, Italy.
