July 29, 2011: One&Only Le Saint Géran introduced a new dining experience in Mauritius with the opening of Prime Contemporary Grill on July 1, 2011. With an exceptional menu serving only the finest Australian Angus Wagyu beef, fresh seafood and organic produce, this original One&Only steakhouse will provide a relaxed, inviting venue with a hip, modern vibe.
Headlined by the resort’s award-winning culinary team, the menu will serve revisited classics with a critical focus on purity, quality and freshness. Dishes will range from Frothy Mushroom Cream Soup with Perigord Truffle to Pan-roasted Rock Lobster and Slow-cooked Wagyu Beef Short Ribs. Mouth-watering selections such as an Australian Angus Wagyu Striploin or “Toma Hawk” Rib of Beef for Two will also be available from the grill. Diners can choose, among others, a side of Sweet Onion Boulangère Potato or an innovative dessert menu including Passion Fruit & Banana Soufflé. Jet fresh French Fines de Claire and Tsarskaya oysters and “Hot & Cold” Yuzu Tuna Sashimi will delight seafood lovers.
The restaurant’s contemporary design is burnt-orange walls, creamy-white leather club chairs and open kitchen will provide a chic, relaxed dining experience replacing the more formal dining venue Spoon Des Îles. Guests can also enjoy a cocktail at the Prime Lounge wrap-around polished wood bar complete with chill-out lounge music.
