Onitsuka Tiger celebrates 75th anniversary with the unveiling of Hotel Onitsuka in Champs-Élysées Paris

The Japanese luxury house is hosting immersive events in Champs-Élysées Paris and Tokyo in celebration of this impressive milestone.

Having laid down its roots in 1949 as Onitsuka Shokai by Kihachiro Onitsuka, Onitsuka Tiger has come a long way. Onitsuka Tiger is set to kick off festivities in 2024 to celebrate its 75th anniversary. In honor of the founder’s passion and vision to inspire dreams and hopes in the youth, encouraging them to shape their future, Onitsuka Tiger will host immersive events in Champs-Élysées, Paris, and Tokyo.

Hotel Onitsuka Tiger

The Hotel Onitsuka Tiger is built facing the Champs-Élysées, where its brand-new flagship store is slated to open its doors in July 2025. Within the threshold of this exclusive setting, the hotel will confer an array of experimental recreational opportunities, ranging from gastronomic journeys, fashion, and enriching travel to music and artistic experiences.

An assemblage of extraordinary maestros, comprising Grammy Award-winning international pianist Yuja Wang, Milanese Michelin star chef Yoji Tokuyoshi, Paris-raised Japanese-French singer-songwriter, flutist, and multi-musician Maïa Barouh hailing from Tokyo, and budding young artist Yutaro Inagaki, will showcase their cultural artworks and performances for the duration of this event. Visitors are also invited to indulge in the unique Japanese culinary culture at the Yellow Tiger Cafe, situated on the premises of the hotel.

Furthermore, the event features an exhibition of 75 archival shoes, a special photo exhibition chronicling the journey of the brand, a short movie tour of Onitsuka Tiger stores around the world, and an installation interpreted from the inspirational thoughts of the founder.

Coinciding with Paris Olympics, and ongoing until August 17, 2024, the event will provide an immersive journey through Onitsuka Tiger’s professional history in celebration of its 75th anniversary.
