Pantone, the global trendsetter in color innovation, has teamed up with Janavi, India’s celebrated luxury cashmere brand, to unveil their first-ever collaboration in India. Centered around a fresh hue of PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, this exclusive collection has a new twist. Designed to celebrate life’s special, quieter moments, the Janavi x Pantone collection range features luxurious cashmere shawls, blankets, sarees, and capes, all crafted with Janavi’s signature finesse.
The soft, evocative brown tones of Mocha Mousse draw inspiration from the richness of cacao, chocolate, and coffee, embodying warmth, comfort, and the simple pleasures of self-care.
To commemorate the 26th anniversary of Pantone’s Color of the Year, Pantone is hosting a series of global events and experiences spanning cities like New York, London, Shanghai, and Mumbai. In Mumbai, an exclusive collaboration between Pantone and Janavi took center stage at Simone, the city’s premier design destination.
The event featured a captivating panel discussion led by Elley Cheng, President of Pantone, alongside Jyotika Jhalani, Founder of Janavi, and prominent figures from design, fashion, and art. Together, they delved into the creative vision behind Pantone’s Color of the Year 2025 and the inspiration for the Mocha Mousse collection.
Guests were also able to view a curated display of the Janavi x Pantone collection, offering an intimate look at the luxurious artistry behind its shawls, blankets, and capes in the evocative Mocha Mousse hue.
“We were thrilled to collaborate with Janavi earlier this year to launch Dualities, our latest color collection for FASHION, HOME + INTERIORS. We are proud to expand that partnership with a new collection of accessories and home designs inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse. Collaborating with the global design community allows us to bring the power of color to life, and the creativity and craftsmanship of the designers and artisans of India continue to inspire us,” Elley Cheng, President of Pantone, said.
Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute shared, “PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse is a sophisticated and lush brown shade that extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embracing the aspirational and luxe. Working with Janavi to encapsulate the luxurious and also comforting nature of the color through their beautiful shawls, really illustrates the organic beauty of the color.”
The event also included immersive installations designed to highlight the warmth, sophistication, and innovation of the 2025 Color of the Year. The exclusive Janavi x Pantone collection includes four limited-edition shawls and two blankets, priced between ₹14,000 and ₹85,000, and is available on Janavi’s website.
