Patine launches Heritage Bridal Collections

Patine Heritage Bridal CollectionOctober 22, 2012: Highlighting rich Indian embroideries with contemporary silhouettes, Patine launched its Heritage Wedding Collection for modern, discerning brides over an intimate high tea at The Oberoi, New Delhi. Leading models showcased the signature bridal creations.

Ms Shon Randhawa, co-founder and creative director of Patine, said “At Patine, our biggest design challenge is to find a way of integrating traditions into everyday life [of our customers]. Keen to showcase the traditional heritage handcraft techniques the world over, we have selected the most talented embroiderers to create truly versatile yet timeless garments.”

Inspired by the heritage crafts of India, the collection includes creations in fine silks and velvets, heavy brocades and flowing chiffons which are accentuated with traditional embroideries, colourful silk linings, and striking ethnic detailing. The predominant motifs on the garments include traditional ambi and peacock patterns combined with modern fabric, cuts and silhouettes.

From elegant cocktail saris and demure anarkalis to breathtaking lehangas, the collection includes striking garments for every occasion. Age old embroidery techniques like Parsi Ghari amalgamate with contemporary accents of Crochet lacework and tissue lining and are given a vibrant colour palette of fuchsias, emerald greens, tangerine oranges and jewel blues.

Available at: Patine, DLF Emporio, New Delhi; and 'S' Salon, Mumbai
