The hospitality sector in Kazakhstan is evolving, and Radisson Hotel Group is capitalizing on this shift with the debut of its Radisson Individuals brand, with the launch of Sadu Hotel Almaty. More than just another hotel opening, this addition signals the group’s intent to establishing a stronger foothold in Central Asia’s growing tourism and business sector.
The hotel, positioned within the SADU Arena sports complex, is near Almaty’s largest wrestling hall and the Sunkar International Ski Jumping Complex, which was built for the 2011 Asian Winter Games. Guests have access to both major sports venues and views of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains.
Sadu Hotel Almaty offers 81 well-appointed rooms, each designed to reflect modern elegance while embracing local influences. Guests can explore four dining options, including a seasonal pool bar, or unwind in the 500 sq. m wellness center featuring a range of sauna experiences. The hotel also provides 233 sq. m of adaptable event space, catering to business meetings and social gatherings.
Ethno Spa, a key component of the hotel, has a unique architectural and treatment ethos. Inspired by the nomadic culture of ancient baths and the aroma of fragrant herbs, their interesting, authentic sauna chambers are worth noting.
Maria Znova, Senior Director of Business Development at Radisson Hotel Group, spoke about the significance of the launch. “The opening of Sadu Hotel Almaty, a member of Radisson Individuals, marks an exciting milestone in our expansion across Kazakhstan. With its prime location near top cultural and sports attractions, the hotel offers guests an immersive Almaty experience, combining warm hospitality with world-class facilities. We are delighted to introduce the Radisson Individuals brand to Kazakhstan and look forward to welcoming travelers from around the world.”
Radisson Individuals are upper-scale hotels with individualistic characteristics that are inspired by the local culture and heritage of the destination.
With this opening, Radisson Hotel Group is broadening its presence in Kazakhstan, moving beyond its footprint in Astana. The addition of Sadu Hotel Almaty reflects the company’s strategy to establish itself in key locations across the country, recognizing the increasing demand for high-quality accommodations in one of Central Asia’s most dynamic cities.
