Richard Mille hosts first exhibition in India

October 27, 2011: Watch manufacturer Richard Mille hosted its first exhibition in New Delhi at the Johnson Watch Store in DLF Emporio mall.

Needless to say, the star of the show was the limited edition Felipe Massa 011 watch for the Indian Grand Prix where the back of the watch mentions 'First Indian race'. Other jeweled creations also drew awe from the visitors.

Richard Mille himself, President & Director General, Richard Mille Montres, acknowledged that India is developing at an astounding rate on a yearly basis. Entrepreneurs are starting up companies, there is a large workforce of skilled and talented people available and there is steady growth. Therefore, the interest in luxury goods is also expanding. "Of course, I am very happy to share the ideas behind my watches with the Indian public, and introduce them to the concepts behind my brand. It is an exciting moment for me!" he said.

Mr Mille was also excited about their special association with the Indian Grand Prix and Felipe Massa. "This first Indian race was, for me, the perfect moment to launch because my brand is very close to the world of F1. Its principles, ideas and concepts are built right into my watches, philosophically and even mechanically. I also enter races myself driving original racing cars regularly. So this venue, this time, this track, marks the perfect and natural moment for me to meet the Indian public directly and share my ideas with them," he explained.
