Roger Dubuis launches La Monegasque Collection

November 14, 2011: Swiss watch brand Roger Dubuis, drawing inspiration from Monte Carlo, has launched La Monegasque collection, which reflects a style closely associated with one of the Mediterranean’s smartest seaside resorts. La Monegasqe embodies the quintessence of the place and expresses the glamorous style and spirit of the Rock.

The Monegasque has a hint of rock ‘n’ roll and sex appeal, with a delightfully provocative flavour which evokes the whole myth of Monte Carlo. The collection comprises eight various models including Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph, Automatic and Flying Tourbillion.

The Monégasque Club “limited edition” has a Chesterfield-style leather strap, 44-millimetre pink gold case, blended ochre and mist on its dial and split-time chronograph with column-wheel. Its micro-rotor automatic movement, the caliber RD78, comprises 303 components and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The Monégasque Club is only available in a limited edition of 88 pieces.

The Monégasque Tourbillon Volant makes light of the effects of gravity, at the same time providing perfect legibility of its large date and power reserve displays. This watch is destined for only 28 connoisseurs worldwide. Executed in platinum, the Monégasque Tourbillon Volant allies the iconic flying tourbillon with the highly individual aspect of a movement made, decorated and polished by hand. Housed in a 44-mm case, water-resistant to 50 metres, the calibre RD540 has 293 components.
