December 4, 2014: Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis has presented boutique exclusives for Time Avenue in Mumbai. Both the Excalibur Quatuor Fully Paved with Diamonds and the Excalibur 45 Skeleton Flying Tourbillon in White Gold Fully Paved are extra-special creations crafted in honour of the strong relationship the brand is building with watch connoisseurs in India.

Quatuor, with its revolutionary movement powered by four sprung balances working in tandem to counter the effects of gravity, was considered an epoch-making event in the world of haute horlogerie. That it happened when the maison was marking the Year of the Excalibur, was even more significant. It also features a completely original power-reserve indicator. The four carefully positioned sprung balances work in pairs to compensate immediately for the rate variations caused by the changes in position. What the tourbillon achieves during the course of a minute, the Excalibur Quatuor achieves instantly.
The Excalibur Quatuor Fully Paved is housed in an exquisite white gold case that is resplendent with the lustre of diamonds. The bezel, lugs and crown of this extra-special timepiece are set with baguette cut diamonds, while the case band is set off with brilliant cut diamonds. The dial features a charcoal interior and exterior flange shows off the white minute-circle transfers, black engraved Roger Dubuis and Poinçon de Genève inscriptions, the rhodium-plated power-reserve indicator and the white gold hours and minutes hands to advantage.
The brilliantly-crafted Excalibur 45 Skeleton Flying Tourbillon in White Gold is fully paved with black and white brilliant-cut diamonds. The case is back paved with white brilliant cut diamonds and the skeleton movement is nicely set off by flanges set with black and white diamonds.
Both the watches are water resistant up to 3 Bar and come with a black alligator hand-stitched strap with a white gold adjustable folding buckle encrusted with white diamonds.
