Roka Akor Chicago gives fine dining options to celebrate 2015
December 11, 2014: Roka Akor Chicago is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the festive time of year with special promotions, prix-fixe menus, exclusive wine pairings and more.
 
This December 24, Roka Akor’s Chef Ce Bian is serving guests an exquisite, four-course tasting menu ($75/guest), which includes dishes like Robata Grilled Scallops with Truffled Ikura; Watercress, Peppers & King Trumpet Mushrooms; Crispy Fried Lemon Sole with Chili Ponzu & Smoked Sea Salt; Sake Steamed Mussels with Wild Mushrooms & Sesame Pancake; Robata Roast Duck with Ume Sancho Glaze & Lotus Root Salad; and Chocolate Cake with Ube Ice Cream & Mixed Berries. 
 
Ring in 2015 at Roka Akor Chicago with one of two tasting menus featuring five succulent courses made with fresh seafood and select cuts of prime steak. Between 5pm and 7:30pm, guests can stick their cutlery in Goma Salmon Tataki with Cucumber and Lemongrass Vinaigrette; Grilled Tako Salad with Charred Tomatoes, Micro Herbs and Ginger Shallot Dressing; Lobster Maki; Madagascan Tiger Prawns with Yuzu Kosho Chili Paste; and Chocolate Layer Cake with Homemade Mochi Ice Cream.
 
If dining at 8pm or 10pm, the five-course dinner ($129) can add expertly selected wine and sake pairings to compliment each course for $50 per person. Including a complimentary sparkling toast at midnight, taste the Ume Foie Gas Torchon with Nori Bread and Myoga; Robata Grilled Scallop with Truffle Ikura and Watercress; Ora King Salmon Served with Fresh Wasabi; Grilled Bok Choy and Lotus Root with Ginger and Citrus Dressing; Japanese A5-10 Wagyu Beef with Exotic Salts and more. Available with all tasting menus is a Moet & Chandon Champagne Pairing for an additional $125/person, which includes some of the best bubbles the brand can offer.
