Rolls-Royce introduces Cullinan Series II, refined with new luxury

With cutting-edge technology and continuous innovation, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II ensures that it remains the benchmark for luxury SUVs for years to come.

The release of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan was a landmark moment in the automotive world. The super luxury SUV has enjoyed tremendous success in the last six years. In a bid to further enhance the SUV’s appeal, the brand has introduced the all-new Cullinan Series II, going to great lengths to make its most requested Rolls-Royce even more special in its upgrade, pushing the envelope with the latest technology.

When the first Rolls-Royce Cullinan was released in 2018, it generated significant hype and excitement. It set a new benchmark for the luxury SUV market, challenging other high-end manufacturers to elevate their offerings while it continues to do so. The introduction of the Magic Carpet Ride suspension system provided an exceptionally smooth and comfortable driving experience, both on and off-road. The Cullinan Series II features limited technical changes, with the emphasis primarily being on upgrades.

It features redesigned front and rear fascias, headlights, trim elements, and two new 23-inch wheel designs. Along with the updated exterior, Rolls-Royce color specialists have developed a new paint finish inspired by richly-veined brown marble to enhance its presentation.

In profile, the Cullinan Series II showcases additional surfacing changes. While the front wings maintain their vertical lines, the designers have introduced a subtle, precise feature line extending from the taillight to the center of the floating ‘RR’ center caps on the rear wheel. This design creates a gentle taper and sense of movement, which is further emphasized by the updated lower valance surfaces that lift at the rear. These surfaces are finished in a rich high-gloss black, reflecting the road below and enhancing the sense of motion. It is available in both standard and Black Badge versions.

In the interior, the gauge cluster panel in front of the driver and the new, permanently visible Central Information Display in the center of the fascia have been redesigned to showcase the advanced SPIRIT operating system. First introduced on the all-electric Spectre, the Cullinan Series II marks the debut of SPIRIT in a V12-powered Rolls-Royce. This update also opens up new avenues for bespoke personalization, allowing clients to extend their customizations into the digital realm by tailoring the color of the instrument dials to match the car’s interior palette or exterior finish.

Rolls-Royce continues its exploration of textiles with a new rayon fabric made from bamboo, named Duality Twill, which will be available for customers in 51 colours to choose from. Cullinan Series II integrates another new contemporary craft technique – Placed Perforation – which is the practice of creating artworks through tiny perforations in the leather.

Following the triumph of their prior motor cars, the marque’s designers, engineers, and artisans delved into five years’ worth of meticulous client feedback, the brand’s proprietary intelligence gleaned from their Private Offices worldwide, and a host of innovative technologies to propel the Cullinan forward. Evolving into its latest iteration, which stands as the most comprehensive Series II evolution, it adapts to shifting standards of luxury and changing usage habits while staying faithful to the core principles that have driven Cullinan’s unparalleled acclaim.

“In 2018, Cullinan reframed super-luxury motoring, enabling Rolls-Royce clients to experience the brand’s hallmark magic carpet ride regardless of the terrain and in every corner of the world. In the six years since, Cullinan has attracted entirely new groups of clients to Rolls-Royce and profoundly altered perceptions of what a Rolls-Royce motor car is, and what it can mean to its owner. Cullinan Series II has been created to build on that success. By integrating new technologies, new materials, meticulously considered design updates and innovative opportunities for self-expression through Bespoke, we retain everything our clients love about this motor car, ensuring its continued allure,” said Chris Brownridge, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
