Milanese Maison Serapian revealed its Fall Winter 2023 collection during Paris Fashion Week, and it’s captivating. Founded in 1928, Serapian is famous for making elegant and customized luxury leather goods. The maison is the embodiment of intricate craftsmanship and design, and that’s what the brand has conveyed in its 2023-24 collection.
The presentation took place at its new pop-up store at 1 Rue de la Paix, where most of the luxury boutiques are located. To entice and enchant the onlookers and passersby of the grandiose streets, the brand designed the boutique befitting its new Fall-Winter season’s theme: Design Blooming. Creative duo Valentina Cameranesi and Enrico Pompili reimagined the boutique around a dialogue between design pieces and floral installations.
Each current model of the Milanese leather goods’ Maison is unique, thanks to the brand’s signature handwoven workmanship of precious lamb Nappa leather, which brings its signature Mosaico pattern to life. With the brand’s belief to provide impeccable and authentic creations at the core, the Maison’s signature craft is being reinterpreted around the theme of Design Blooming.
These “Mestieri d’Arte” creations beautifully blend matte, glossy, smooth and suede leathers with other materials of different colors and aesthetics. This technique is called “stop-and-go”. From here, new interpretations of the iconic Secret bag were created, genuine works of art whose effect provided by the Mosaico weave elicits thoughts of scenery, foliage and flowers.
A new gorgeous creation, “1928 Tote”, features the geometric lines of Mosaico in “cuoio” color, with wide handles done in woven leather. A complementary matching pouch inside the spacious bag – to carry credentials – makes this the perfect everyday bag.
Woven Nappa leather is utilized as a contrasting element with shearling bags and clutches. Here the Mosaico leather strip represents a symbol, a signature.
The new Fall Winter collection comes in a range of natural, elegant, delicate colors, that are akin to petals on a flower. A slightly more intense pink, leaning towards fuchsia, enriches the adorable Mini Meliné, a super feminine version of another icon of the Maison.
