SkodaAuto India sponsored and flagged off the Elite International Men’s Race at Tour de Delhi – Cyclothon 2010 recently. Through the partnership Skoda Auto aimed to raise awareness about going green and increasing public knowledge about saving fuel.
India Cyclothon is Asia’s second largest cycling event, featuring the world’s best cyclists, with the total prize money of 25,000 Euros. The star studded event was attended by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Kanwar Sain – Mayor of Delhi, Suresh Kalmadi – Chairman CWG, Arvinder Singh Lovely – Minister of Education and Sports, Dr A K Vallya – Finance Minister, New Delhi. Salman Khan, who is very passionate about cycling, also took a run with Skoda cars leading the pack.
For the past six years, SkodaAuto has been an official partner of the legendry international cycle race, the ‘Tour de France.’ At the beginning of this year, SkodaAuto India had collaborated with ‘Tour de Mumbai’ to lend its support to the events that pledged to save fuel and promote a greener environment. Taking this association to the next level, SkodaAuto associated with Tour de Delhi 2010 too.
