The Balvenie – Dram-tastic!

The golden-hued liquid gets a new flavour from The Balvenie

The BalvenieThose who are not too fond of whisky should have the Balvenie PortWood Single Malt 21 year old. Not only will you become a convert, but also a loyal fan of the brand. The whisky’s uniqueness lies in the fact that it is matured in port casks, or pipes, which have previously held fine port wines.

The scotch has rich, smooth and deliciously honeyed character. Fruity and ripe raisin notes, backed by a nutty dryness, greet your nose. Refined with remarkable character, it has a creamy and silky taste with fruit, honey and spice notes. It has a long, gentle and nutty finish.

The Balvenie is handcrafted using traditional methods. It starts right from the raw material to the bottling. The distillery grows its own barley, uses traditional floor malting and keeps both coppersmith and cooperage on site. The bottles give an old world feel. The experience of sipping a Balvenie is completed when paired with the specially created Balvenie desserts.

Other malts by Balvenie range from the rare and especially fine Balvenie aged 30 years, Oaky and spicy Balvenie aged 17 years, rich and malty 15 years, to the nutty and spicy Balvenie DoubleWood aged 12 years.

Produced by William Grant & Sons, The Balvenie PortWood aged 21 years is available across all leading hotels and restaurants. It is available at most retail outlets, specially designated for the sale of spirits.
