Cars or timepieces, Bvlgari can do it all. Taking its passion for excellence to new heights, Bvlgari has defined its elegance on another masterpiece. Teaming up with Polyphony Digital, the creators of the iconic Gran Turismo video game series, Bvlgari revealed two limited editions of the Bulgari Aluminium x Gran Turismo Special Edition chronograph.
Furthermore, the unveiling featured the Bulgari Aluminium Vision GT Car, the first ever and only hypercar exclusively designed for Gran Turismo. The fusion of horological artistry and virtual automotive innovation is just another shining example of Bvlgari’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of creativity. Don’t be surprised if the car makes it to the real track.
The Bulgari Aluminium x Gran Turismo Special Edition balances the intense power of Bvlgari Aluminum while it exudes the charm of the Gran Turismo universe. Drawing inspiration from an iconic Italian Gran Turismo car from the 1990s, the chronograph flaunts bright yellow dials. Crafted from lightweight titanium, the crown and caseback showcase extra strength and resilience, enhanced with a black DLC treatment and adorned with the 10th Anniversary Vision GT logo.
There are two versions of the chronograph. While the one with a yellow dial and black counters is limited to 500 pieces, the other has an anthracite dial and yellow indices with 1,200 pieces. Having a power reserve of 42 hours, both house Calibre B381 and are water-resistant to 100 m.
The Bulgari Aluminium Vision GT, designed for the video game, echoes the distinctive elements of the Bulgari Aluminium x Gran Turismo Special Edition watch. The car’s bodywork combines brushed aluminum, carbon, and black rubber for protection.
“I envisioned a different way of playing with Bulgari’s DNA, creating a concept car that speaks the same language as the Bulgari Aluminium watch. Its design is based on geometric, pure, and angular forms, inspired by the lines of legendary Italian Gran Turismo cars from the 1970s, featuring sporty three-spoke steering wheels and walnut dashboards. These shapes come together to create the unmistakable Bulgari aesthetic, resulting in a concept car with perfectly realistic proportions, also in the real world, at full scale,” said Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Product Creation Executive Director at Bulgari Horlogerie.
