February 28, 2020: The Oberoi, Mumbai, a striking example of modern architecture overlooking the magnificent views of the ocean and 'Queen’s Necklace' lights, has announced the highly anticipated reopening of The Eau Bar.
The Eau Bar has been on a comprehensive renovation that aims to create a trendsetting luxury drinks experience. It remains as an ideal place to meet for sunset cocktails, while after dark the mood remains fun, light and upbeat. What remains unchanged though is The Eau Bar’s enviable location. Perched on the prominent ‘Queen’s Necklace’ on Marine Drive, the Eau Bar has a spectacular outdoor deck with magnificent views of the ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows. The first experience of the new Eau Bar is its centrepiece, inspired by the ‘Tree of Life', the intricate foliage of which encompasses the bar against a striking red backdrop forming the focal point of the newly renovated bar. A dramatic ‘bull installation’ specially sculpted by Valay Shende celebrates the spirit of India’s financial capital.
The Oberoi, Mumbai has partnered with UK’s award-winning mixologist, Andrew Pearson, to curate the cocktail list. At The Eau Bar, Executive Chef Satbir Bakshi will showcase indigenous and seasonal produce presented in a stylish small plates menu including contemporary recipes such as Beer batter truffled brie cubes, Scottish salmon tataki, Paratacos rubbed chicken and more.
The dynamic music programming of the bar will feature Orion, the band. Hailing from different musical backgrounds, the band’s playlist offers a wide range of genres ranging from the early 60s to the latest chart-toppers. The bar remains open from 5:00 pm to 1.30 am with live music from Monday to Saturday.
