February 23, 2012: Varq at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, in association with Aspri Spirits played host to Tommaso Cavalli, the celebrated wine maker who has created wine and vodka brands. Tommaso Cavalli, the oldest son of iconic Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli showcased wines from the house of Cavalli Tenuta Degli Dei.
Tommaso visited India to promote wines from his winery Tenuta Degli Dei which is located near the charming village of Panzano in the heart of Chianti, Italy. Cavalli wines are different from the other Chianti wines and are made with Bordeaux-blends and a touch of Alicante which is a local grape. The Cavalli Tenuta Degli Dei wines capture the senses, harmonizing the aromas of aromatic herbs, balsamic overtones, and fruit with balanced acidity, firm structure, velvety tannins, and an extremely long finish.
The awarding winning Cavalli Tenuta Degli Dei 2006 and Cavalli Tenuta Degli Dei 2007 are available for sale at The Taj Mahal, New Delhi.
