July 12, 2012: India Jones at Trident, Nariman Point, has welcomes specialty Chef Klae Somsuay from The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata, for a Thai Food Festival. Enjoy a selection of traditional favourites, as well as innovative new dishes until 15th July, 2012.
Chef Klae will offer appetizers such as Mee Krob (crispy rice noodles with water chestnut, Thai chilli in sweet and sour sauce); Satay Kai (Grilled chicken skewers served with peanut sauce); Normai farang naam yam (warm asparagus salad with chilli and garlic dressing); and Yam phet yang (Grilled marinated duck salad with rambutan). A range of Thai soups, ideal for the monsoon months, will also be available.
Main courses such as Kai takrai (Chicken with lemon grass, mushroom and kaffir lime leaf); Pla neung manao (Steamed bekti with chilli, spring onion, pepper and mushroom); and Gung mang gaawn phad khiing (Lobster with golden garlic and ginger in light soya sauce) will satiate diners’ cravings for authentic Thai cuisine.
Other favourites like Khao phad (Thai stir fried rice available in vegetable, prawn or chicken versions); Kgao ob sapporod (Sweet pineapple fried rice with raisin and cashew nut); and Baame (Stir fried noodles with celery and spring onion available in vegetable, prawn, chicken options), will be served along with curries like Phae massaman (Lamb massaman curry with peanuts); and Kaenga pa (Jungle curry available in vegetable, prawn, chicken, and tenderloin), ensure that there is something to please everybody’s palate.
