May 10, 2016: Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Jimmy Choo unveils Memento, a tribute capsule collection.
The exquisite line of shoes and bags embodies the brand’s red-carpet legacy, which has seen Jimmy Choo pieces sparkle at world-class events such as Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys and Bafta.
Incorporating 20 distinct bag and shoe designs, Memento flaunts both iconic styles – including the beloved Lance, which has been worn by Charlize Theron, Halle Berry and Diane Kruger – as well as several novel interpretations.
Among the new creations are a minimal strap sandal, Tizzy, a gladiator style flats, Tetrus, as well as a simple yet modern stiletto, Romy. A highlight are the T-bar high heels, Storm, bejeweled with hand-sewn Swarovski crystals in smoky chrome colors.
Complementing the footwear are several haute-couture purses, including the Cloud clutch, which boasts a sculpted flower corsage, and Tux, which beams with crystal platinum chainmail.
As a final nod to Hollywood’s opulence, Jimmy Choo introduces the Memento collection in a limited-edition trunk. Hand-crafted from pale taupe galuchat embossed leather, it comprises individual suede-lined drawers with front collection sketch holders. Its lid hides an inlaid mirror and several smaller compartments.
The Memento capsule line is now available at Jimmy Choo stores worldwide as well as at the brand’s webpage. The trunk retails at selected boutiques but is also offered via special order.
