November 4, 2020: A. Lange & Söhne, the legendary German watch manufacturer, has inaugurated their second Dubai boutique in the Mall of the Emirates. With a presence in 60 countries, the 175 year old brand’s new boutique is in one of the world’s most luxurious shopping destinations.
A. Lange & Söhne Middle East, India & Africa Brand Director, Jean Bitar explained why this is stepping stone for their retail strategy: “Our second boutique in Dubai is a significant milestone for the brand. The number of knowledgeable watch enthusiasts and collectors in the UAE and the Middle East is continuously growing and so is the demand for our watches.”
The new location features spacious and unique interior design created through authentic materials and elaborate surface treatments that transports you to the craftsmanship of the Saxon watchmaker. It makes you travel back in time, especially in December 1845, when Dresden watchmaker Ferdinand Adolph Lange moved to Glashütte and opened a pocket watch workshop with the ambition to “craft the world’s finest watches”, thus laying the cornerstone for fine watchmaking in Saxony.
You can experience an extensive range of A. Lange & Söhne timepieces in the new boutique, including highlights from the 2020 collection. The exceptional “Homage to F.A. Lange” edition celebrates the 175th anniversary of Saxon fine watchmaking accompanied by the new LANGE 1 TIME ZONE and the ODYSSEUS collection.
Today, A. Lange & Soehne crafts only a few thousand wristwatches per year, predominantly in gold or platinum. They are endowed exclusively with proprietary movements that are lavishly decorated by hand and assembled twice.
