Treasure Trove Charity Auction of luxury items by Jaivakeel School

Jaivakeel School, a charitable organization, is organising a fundraising auction ‘Treasure Trove’ where interesting objets d’art, collectibles, designer creations, luxury items, celebrity interactions will go under the hammer along with signature artworks from India’s leading artists. The charity auction will take place in Mumbai at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on September 29, 2010.

Jaivakeel School works for children and individuals with mental handicap and associated disabilities. Tehmi Shroff, Administrative Director of the Jaivakeel School adds “Over the last 65 years, we have provided special education and rehabilitation to millions of children to help them live a life of dignity. Our vision is to create a greater acceptance of this segment in society while making the institute financially sound and independent.”

Sapna Kar of Burgundy Consultancy, who has conceptualized this fundraiser, says, “The idea of mixing all kinds of premium luxury goods is that everybody from the discerning audience present gets a chance to contribute by taking home an object they desire, while supporting a great cause!”

Some of the items that will be auctioned at Treasure Trove are a Sabyasachi saree , a JJ Vallaya couture creation, a Tarun Tahilani outfit , an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla coffee table, a SH Raza limited edition pendant with diamonds by Orra, a Lladro limited edition piece, an Hermes Birkin bag, a Judith Leiber – Suneet Varma clutch, a Cocktail Ring by Queenie Singh, diamond jewellery by Rose, Christian Dior products and even Tennis Training with Leander Paes and lunch, tea and gym sessions with many other renowned celebrities.

Paintings by eminent artists like Anjolie Ela Menon, Paresh Maity, Manu Parekh, Maya Burman, Sunil Padwal, Jayshree Burman, Akhilesh, Lalita Lajmi, Samir Mondal, Seema Kohli, Fawad Tamkanat, Nawaz Singhania and many others are also part of the auction.
