Launching for Spring/Summer 2020, Mr. Louboutin’s brand-new handbag Elisa is set to capture imaginations. The bag is named after Elisa Sednaoui, Christian Louboutin’s muse and Ambassador, but also a mother, model, actress, social entrepreneur and film director of Italian, Egyptian and French descent.
Details of the handbag evoke the splendour of ancient Egypt, including the twist lock clasp. Imagined as a mystical talisman, its lines echo the rounded rectangular contours of the pharaoh's cartouche. Inspired by hieroglyphs, the iconic CL signature is reworked in the shape of a celestial disc. Endowed with an accordion pleat for greater versatility, the sophisticated architecture of the Elisa bag mirrors the proud lines of the Amon temple in Luxor.
Elisa’s flat bracelet-like gold chain speaks of Parisian elegance and doubles Elisa’s purpose as a piece of jewellery. Whether large, small, mini or belt bag, the Elisa adapts to the many lifestyles and needs of the modern woman. The colours and materials range from the iconic Louboutin red to softer shades of pink and pale grey.
The Elisa bag will be available online from October 29, 2019 and in Christian Louboutin boutiques all over the world from November 2, 2019.
