MAC – Divine Eyes

MAC knows how to pair up two completely different shades for a brilliant look. That’s what they did for their Divine Night eyeshadows too!

MAC Divine Night Mineralize Eyeshadow DuosMAC Divine Night Mineralize Eyeshadow Duos are available in six new and limited edition versions. The good part is that each version contains two shades which can be used as individual shades too, quite convenient isn’t it?  With gorgeous shades that are so beautiful and striking, I will not judge you if you purchase all six. I, however, sampled Captivating.

An apt duo for the perfect ‘pick me up’ it houses a frosty yellow gold and a white gold shimmer, and is my answer to wanting these subtle shades in one palette. These shades have a metallic finish that can be overly frosted if applied with a heavier hand, but look incredible as a colour wash. Using a light hand, this duo assures a beautiful brightening effect that makes for a perfect minimal eye makeup look paired up with a dramatic and festive red lip look! Depending on the look you are going for, I’d recommend the deep gold for the night and the bright white gold for the day – or maybe a shading of both for a deeper, high impact look.

The inside portion of the duo is a deep gold. A light-medium, yellow gold with a frosted, metallic finish, it is the quintessential gold that every girl needs in her makeup kit. Try wetting your brush and then applying this to make it smoother but it can also be used as is (dry) for a crisp look. It lasted about six hours before it started to show some signs of fading.

The majority of the duo is a bright white gold base. Maybe a little too stark for some, use a light hand to just dab in the right spots (over the crease of your eyelids) for that magical look. The pale gold shimmer adds sophistication and while the texture runs powdery when swirling the brush, either wet it for a foiled look or ensure you use a good base on your eyes to settle this product. This one too lasted about six hours.
