August 9, 2019: Indian designer Manish Malhotra, after several other associations, has ventured into bridal jewellery in collaboration with Raniwala 1881, a heritage jewellery brand from Jaipur. The entire range will first be available exclusively at Manish Malhotra’s flagship store in New Delhi.
The launch of this new jewellery line follows his latest launch of Manish Malhotra haute-couture make-up.
The collection will comprise a wide array of necklaces, earrings, rings, pendant sets, maangtikas, maathapattis, bracelets, bangles, brooches, buttons, cufflinks for men, and more. The first chapter of this association pays tribute to heritage jewellery making techniques and captures the beauty of handcrafted jadau.
The collection will also include an expansive range of chandbalis, danglers, studs, jhumkis, kadas, chokers, layered necklaces in a combination of uncut polkis; perfected in traditional jadaau and open setting.
Commenting on starting his own jewellery line, designer Manish Malhotra said, “During my early days, I used to create jewellery for actors, create matching beads, put little crystals, break the big pieces and string together other materials to create something that complements the garment. So, this came like a natural progression to me. It took a while to come up with this but finally, I’m glad to present my own idea of a modern Indian jewellery, that best reflects the spirit of today’s young yet eclectic, audacious and enriching global citizens."
