Milan Fashion Week witnessed Onitsuka Tiger push the boundaries of urban style with its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled Urban Fantasy. The brand has positioned fashion as a tool for self-expression, describing the collection as capturing “the instant we instinctively choose how and when to wear something,” likened to stepping out of the shade in an Asian city and feeling the sun on the skin. The collection explores the energy flowing between cityscapes and sunlight, translating it into versatile pieces for individual expression.
The collection combines vintage textures with modern construction. Crinkled shirts, blouses, and dresses evoke a retro feel, while dresses made from bodysuits layered over voluminous culottes create unexpected asymmetry. Crisp fabrics shape parkas, styled with striped knit tank tops and shorts, and define cropped trucker jackets with ruffled waists.
Leather is used for oversized biker jackets and mini biker-inspired skirts with zips, and suede appears in varsity-style jackets paired with knee-length skirts cut into asymmetrical pleats. Neoprene and printed nylon form reversible oversized sweatshirts, hoodies, and quilted jackets featuring rose and daisy prints in an ‘80s pink palette, adding a floral touch to the lineup.
The brand’s signature tracksuit makes a modern statement. Slim track pants, inspired by the Paw Project launched in 1974, were paired with lingerie-style tops, masculine blazers, and heels. Track tops were layered over slim-silhouette trenches and field jackets, turning casual athletic wear into elevated streetwear.
Tailored jackets appear for the first time in this season. Menswear combines single- and double-breasted jackets with vintage-style running shorts, creating an offbeat contrast. Wide trousers with a five-pocket-inspired cut and waistcoats complete the menswear lineup. The mix of colors, patterns, and styles communicates a bold and confident aesthetic.
Footwear blends reinterpretation and craftsmanship. Satin ballet-style shoes offer a new take on the MEXICO 66 sneaker, while boots appear in riding boot silhouettes or feature long, loose fringe. Soft suede sandals add a subtle, refined option.
Accessories introduce new forms of expression. The Tiger Tote comes in canvas printed with graffiti or floral patterns, while the rectangular KARATE Bag is offered in smooth or studded leather. A new eyewear line includes sculptural metal optical frames and oversized sunglasses inspired by 1960s design.
On the runway, collaboration pieces with Japanese pearl brand MIKIMOTO were also presented. The PASSIONOIR collection incorporates golden baroque pearls, black rhodium-treated chains, and diamond logos, bringing distinctive accents to the looks.
This collection demonstrates Onitsuka Tiger’s approach to urban fashion: a careful balance of vintage references, contemporary tailoring, and statement accessories. It emphasizes versatility and self-expression while reflecting the dynamic energy of city life.
