The auction will take place from February 12 to 26.
Participants can also expect extraordinary wine experiences, including visits, tastings, dinners, and overnight stays at wineries spanning Bordeaux and beyond, both in France and around the globe.
The funds raised from this auction will play a pivotal role in supporting the Cité du Vin, an iconic foundation that has revitalized Bordeaux since its inauguration in 2016. Often referred to as the ‘Guggenheim of wine’ due to its stunning architectural design, the Cité du Vin is an immersive museum, drawing global attention to the rich cultures and civilizations embedded in millennia of wine history.
The funds generated will bolster the foundation’s commitment to safeguarding, celebrating, and sharing the heritage of wine with people. As a philanthropic gesture, renowned estates have made a generous contribution to support the foundation’s initiatives. This charitable initiative comprises 60 lots, estimated to be valued at around €200,000. At the forefront is a bespoke original wooden case Magnum vertical of the revered Penfolds Bin 707 (€9,000-18,0000), personally signed by the Head Chief Winemaker, Peter Gago. As an additional highlight, the winning bidder and three guests will be treated to a private vertical tasting of Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon in the enchanting backdrop of Paris.
