Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago to replace Sixteen with new restaurant concept

April 5, 2018: Luxury hotel Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has announced the evolution of its Michelin two-star restaurant Sixteen into a reimagined dining concept.

Sixteen Trump Hotel Chicago Flower dish

Scheduled to debut later this year, the restaurant will feature a new name and a transformed design. It will offer an a la carte menu of contemporary American cuisine with influences drawn from European and Asian cuisine. The menu will incorporate house-grown ingredients from the culinary team’s 16th floor terrace garden, which will expand its footprint even further this spring.

The inclusive, contemporary space will include a large dining room bar – a focal point for socializing and enjoying both classic and innovative cocktail creations. Dynamic seating options throughout the 100-seat dining room will offer high tops, tables and banquettes. The floors, furnishings and lighting will undergo a complete redesign. The new restaurant will also extend to the 16th floor terrace, lending a 200-seat al fresco dining component during Chicago’s warm weather months.

Sixteen’s final dinner service is on April 28 and the restaurant’s final lunch service falls on Sunday, April 29. The Sixteen team is offering a Legacy Tasting Menu till then, showcasing signature dishes from Sixteen’s lauded chefs over the years. The 16-course menu is available for $225 per person, with wine pairings available by Sommelier Parag Lalit.
