Pulling a magnificent mix of clothing and accessories from some of the fashion world’s eminent names, such as Kanika Goyal and Vaishali Shadangule, NEZO has launched an eclectic store and brand that showcases inspired, unique design.
‘Nezo’, a Hungarian word, means a spectator. The store, thus, inspires the customers to look through the plethora of options and find the one that aligns with them the most.
Garima Bijlani, who has an educational background in marketing, strategy and fashion, opened the store at Bandra, Mumbai to offer a truly bespoke experience. It houses many young brands like Sneak No More, and old-guard, established brands like Isharya, Rara Avis, Vipul Shah, Maison Blu and Aroka.
Other notable names include Ode to Odd, Papa Don’t Preach, P Square, Hair Drama Company, and Curated Curiosities. The list of fashion designers also includes many who do not retail anywhere else in Mumbai, such as Bobo Calcutta.
Ms. Bijlani conceptualized an interactive space for her store, one that can play host to not just beautiful clothing, but also to curated events and experiences. Realized by Richa Bahl Design Studio, Ms. Bahl used an ecstatic and bold blue shade on the floor of the store which brings out the colors of the clothing while complementing them. As the walls have been left white for the most part, the blue floor lends a pop of color, which is also evident in the powder room and in accent details around the store.
NEZO’s store design reflects Ms. Bijlani’s eclectic style and love for global inspirations. NEZO is a store that looks like it could belong in New York as much as Milan, both thanks to its design and its beautifully-curated selection of clothing and accessories.
