Fabergé and James Bond have introduced new marvels in their ongoing Fabergé x 007 collaboration, marking the 60th anniversary of the iconic Bond film Goldfinger (1964). At the center of this release is the Fabergé x 007 Egg Safe Locket, a luxurious new piece inspired by Bond’s legendary world. This 18k yellow gold locket channels the grandeur of Fort Knox—the gold depository that plays a pivotal role in Goldfinger’s plot.
Designed to be opened like a vault, the locket reveals a responsibly sourced Gemfields Mozambican ruby, heart-shaped and encased in a setting of dripping gold that symbolizes the film’s devotion to the precious metal. The pendant’s bail, shaped as a stylized ‘G’ in homage to Goldfinger’s signature ring, is an intricate nod to the beloved character.
Also joining the lineup is the striking Fabergé x 007 Octopussy Ring, a tribute to the famed octopus emblem of the Octopussy film. Crafted in 18k brushed yellow gold, this ring wraps around the finger in a form that mirrors an octopus’s graceful curves. Its 48 diamonds sparkle along the tentacles, while two brilliant-cut diamonds serve as its eyes. A hidden ruby, set on the inner band, is a subtle surprise—an elegant detail known only to the wearer. This ring honors both Fabergé’s spirit of discovery and Bond’s mysterious world.
These pieces join the Fabergé x 007 Octopussy Egg Surprise Locket and the Limited-Edition Fabergé x 007 Octopussy Egg Objet, both introduced in March 2024, furthering a collection that pays homage to the cinematic legacy of Bond.
Conceptualized by Fabergé’s Head of Design, Liisa Tallgren, and overseen by Creative Director Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, this collection encapsulates Fabergé’s heritage of elegance and sophistication while embracing Bond’s bold storytelling and iconography. As Ms. von dem Bussche-Kessell shares, “These collectible pieces continue to commemorate iconic symbols and themes from the Bond universe and are brought to life in signature Fabergé styles.”
