Hilton is expanding its presence in India with a strong focus on luxury. The global hospitality group confirmed plans to introduce several of its premium brands in key Indian cities, with the goal of steadily increasing its brand footprint in the country over the next five years. These announcements were part of Hilton’s first immersive brand experience event in India, held in Bengaluru, where the company shared its strategy and vision for the future.

Among the major updates was the announcement of India’s first Waldorf Astoria hotel, set to open in Jaipur in 2027. Known for its timeless design and celebrated heritage, Waldorf Astoria will bring its signature elegance and hospitality to one of India’s most culturally rich destinations. At the Bengaluru event, guests got a glimpse of this experience through a curated Waldorf Astoria bar that served classic cocktails like the Rob Roy, originally created at the brand’s flagship in New York.
Also coming to Jaipur is the Conrad Hotels & Resorts. Designed for travelers looking for modern design and meaningful local experiences, Conrad Jaipur (also slated to open in 2027) will feature elements that reflect the region’s character. At the event, conceptual artist Subodh Kerkar presented a striking installation inspired by Maharana Pratap’s horse, Chetak—crafted from Rajasthani textiles, beads and recycled rags, highlighting Conrad’s interest in thoughtful design and storytelling. Conrad Hotels are present in Pune and Bengaluru at the moment.
Another addition to the luxury lineup is The Den in Bengaluru, which will join the LXR Hotels & Resorts portfolio in 2026. LXR is known for its collection of independent luxury hotels that offer personalized stays rooted in their location’s spirit. The brand offered a fun twist at the event by teaming up with Lavonne Ice Cream Kitchen to serve unique gelato flavors, each inspired by an LXR destination. It was a small but creative way to represent the brand’s ‘Pursuit of Adventure’ theme.

Jaipur will also welcome India’s first Signia by Hilton hotel, scheduled to open in 2028. Positioned as a blend of upscale comfort and productivity, Signia is built for guests who move seamlessly between work and personal interests. The Signia zone at the event showed how the brand supports both sides of the day, offering a space that’s just as inspiring after hours as it is during meetings.
In Bengaluru, a lifestyle-focused luxury hotel—Slohh by Roach, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton is set to open this year. Curio hotels are designed with individual personality, often inspired by a local story or theme. At the event, Hilton displayed a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities,’ with artifacts that reflect unique stories from its Curio properties across Asia Pacific.
Chris Nassetta, president & CEO, Hilton said, “India is a critical part of Hilton’s global growth strategy. As one of the world’s largest and most dynamic markets, it represents a major opportunity across brand segments – from luxury to premium economy.”
Hilton’s luxury plans come at a time when more travelers in India are looking for meaningful experiences and premium stays. With new hotels coming up in cities like Jaipur and Bengaluru, the brand is aiming to meet this demand in ways that feel thoughtful, local and elevated.
Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said, “With more than 1,000 hotels across Asia Pacific, and plans to grow to 10 times our current portfolio in India with our SLA partners, our commitment to this region is stronger than ever.”
The expansion is part of Hilton’s broader vision to grow across South Asia. While the company showcased several of its brands at the event in Bengaluru, the bigger message was clear, Hilton is setting its sights firmly on India’s luxury travel scene.
