Montegrappa, Italy’s oldest fine writing instrument manufacturer founded in 1912 in Bassano del Grappa, has launched the AMB-ITION collection, a full line of leather accessories now available at its luxury boutiques in Beverly Hills, Singapore, and Dubai, with London confirmed as the next location.

Covering weekender and duffle bags, backpacks, laptop cases, small leather goods, footwear, and lifestyle pieces, the collection carries the Montegrappa Ambigram, the brand’s signature symbol, finished in either 24-carat gold-plated brass or ultra-black ruthenium metal. A quilted square pattern, inspired by the interiors of luxury sports cars, runs across every piece, connecting two worlds that have long shared the same audience: Italian craftsmanship and high-end automotive design.

Each bag is made from carefully chosen Italian leathers, with quality expressed through shaping, stitching, and structure rather than heavy branding. Footwear follows the same approach. Made in the Veneto region from leather certified by the Leather Working Group, a global body that audits environmental standards in leather production, the sneakers come in two versions. Black Edition is clean and minimal, while Gold Edition is bolder, built for those who want the brand’s identity to show.

Produced in Montappone, a small town in central Italy that has been supplying luxury headwear to major global fashion houses since the early 20th century, the cashmere baseball cap is one of the more considered additions to the range. Montappone accounts for a significant share of Italy’s luxury hat exports, and Montegrappa sourcing from there reflects a conscious decision to stay within Italy’s established network of specialist makers.

With a history of almost a century, Montegrappa is still owned by the Aquila family, who had started the company to begin with. Although Richemont owned the company briefly between 2000 to 2009, the Aquilas bought it back in 2009. From Game of Thrones pens to a pirate wristwatch, Montegrappa’s passion towards perfection shows in all their product lines.
