Pharrell Williams imprints his signature flair on Moët & Chandon bottles

The champagne brand chose birthday celebration as theme for this limited edition collection.

Birthdays become extra special with champagne. Taking advantage of this well-known tradition, Moët & Chandon recently unveiled a limited-edition collection in collaboration with artist and designer Pharrell Williams. Launched globally on March 1st, this exclusive collection focuses on birthdays.

Both the maison and the musician teamed up to redefine the birthday experience, making it both universal and deeply personal. The inspiration for this project comes from the universal act of birthday celebrations—an event observed by an astounding 22 million people daily.

Drawing from its archives, Moët & Chandon uncovered a historical detail dating back to 1889: the brand’s now-iconic tie on its bottles was originally a bow, a symbol of generosity, joy, and unity. This rediscovered element serves as the central motif for the limited-edition release.

The collection features Moët Brut Impérial bottles dressed in opulent Gold, Midnight Blue, and Deep Red, while the Nectar Impérial Rosé is adorned in elegant white. Each bottle is signed by Pharrell Williams with a pearled monogram of his initials, “P.W.”

Elevating the craftsmanship, the Bow Capsule within the collection is embellished with pearled beads, meticulously crafted by the artisans at Atelier Baqué Molinié. The highlight is the Jewel Masterpiece, a 3-liter Jeroboam of Brut Impérial of which only 30 handcrafted pieces exist, priced at €30,000 each, available exclusively through the Moët Hennessy Private Sales service.

“It’s not just about the champagne. It’s about the collective spirit, optimism and human connection it inspires. A birthday, with its pure joy and shared happiness, is the most universal and personal celebration…Just as our portfolio is rich to suit every taste, this collaboration is all about creating a truly diverse range, ensuring there’s an offering for everyone to enjoy,” Moët & Chandon CEO Sibylle Scherer told Forbes.

The collaboration, truly, is a no-brainer. While Moet & Chandon is owned by LVMH, Mr. Williams is the head of menswear design for Louis Vuitton – also owned by LVMH. The cross-collaboration is a win-win for all, as Mr. Williams continues to climb the popularity chart with his wit, style and charm.
