On the untouched shores of Baja California’s East Cape, Aman is preparing to introduce a retreat that blends desert calm with ocean horizons. Scheduled to open in spring 2026, Amanvari will feature 18 casitas (villas) and a collection of branded residences, bringing the brand’s distinct approach to privacy and design to Mexico for the first time.

Designed originally by Heah & Co. and brought to life by Elastic Architects, Amanvari follows Aman’s long-standing approach of merging architecture with the natural environment. The property is located where desert, beachfront, and estuary meet, with its elevated casitas offering expansive views across the Sea of Cortéz, the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, and the shifting skies of the East Cape. Residences will be positioned directly on the beach, perched above with open views, or alongside the estate’s Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course.
The interiors will carry through the tones of the landscape, using sand-colored finishes, white concrete, natural stone, and tropical hardwoods. Courtyards and framed openings will create a direct line of sight to the horizon, while bespoke ceramics and works by Mexican artisans will anchor each space in local culture.
Amenities are designed to balance seclusion with variety. Dining options will feature Italian, Japanese, and local Baja influences, with a focus on seasonal produce. The Aman Spa will include a contemporary interpretation of a temazcal (sweat lodge), Aman’s signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion, and calming spaces for reflection.

Amanvari will be part of Costa Palmas, a 1,500-acre private estate that encompasses organic farms and orchards, three miles of swimmable beach, and a marina with yacht access. Its location allows for snorkeling, diving, hiking, and sailing, further grounding the resort in the surrounding natural landscape.
For those choosing residence ownership, the offering extends Aman’s model of privacy and service. Homes will include private entrances, generous pools, landscaped courtyards, and panoramic views, alongside access to in-residence dining, housekeeping, and private chef and butler services. A dedicated team and the Aman Private Office will oversee tailored experiences and 24/7 support, with additional services such as bespoke adventure planning available.
Amanvari will become the sixth Aman destination in the Americas and Caribbean, joining the pipeline of Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach, and Amancaya in the Bahamas. The opening in 2026 underscores Aman’s strategy of combining remote settings with residential offerings, adding to its global expansion while preserving its focus on nature, privacy, and design.
