Characteristic of his avant-garde style, Indian designer Amit Aggarwal presented his pret collection, ‘Aged Anew’, at the 25th edition of Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI show. The collection, with Bhumi Pednekar as the showstopper, showcased a balance of futuristic fashion and traditional craftsmanship, featuring structured silhouettes, flowing tailoring, and adaptable styling options.
The show, in collaboration with Nothing as the official sponsor, reflected innovation and design-forward thinking. The collaboration aimed to highlight how fashion and technology can work together, taking inspiration from Nothing’s approach of making technology a visible part of design. Nothing is a British consumer technology brand, offering mobile phones and earbuds, designed in a youthful style.

Mr. Aggarwal’s new prêt collection focuses on everyday wear that is easy to style. It includes cropped jackets, asymmetrical hems, and lightweight layers designed for both comfort and style. The pieces, highlighting sculptural details, can be mixed and matched, making them adaptable to different looks.
Infinity motifs run throughout the collection, representing endless possibilities in fashion. Rich jewel tones, high-quality fabrics, and metallic details add depth. Banaras brocade, reworked with Mr. Aggarwal’s signature handwoven polymer, brings tradition into a modern setting, bridging the past with the future.
The runway show itself broke tradition. Instead of a standard stage setup, the backstage area was transformed into the main stage, emphasizing the idea of reinvention. Models carried the Nothing Phone (3a) as part of their outfits, reinforcing how technology has become part of everyday expression.
