In a tribute to a machine that revolutionized air travel, Swiss watchmaker Breitling brings the sky into its new watch – the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Boeing 747. The new Navitimer Boeing 747 pays homage to the legendary jet which was known as the “Queen of the Skies”. The Boeing 747 revolutionized commercial aviation, putting long-haul flights within reach of a new generation of air travelers and connecting the world like never before.
Boeing 747 was the first wide-body jet that allowed more passengers to fit in with its twin aisle system. It instantly cut the cost of carrying passengers by half, thus making air travel more accessible.
As Boeing gets set to deliver the last 747, Breitling celebrates the revolutionary jumbo jet with its limited edition collection. The Navitimer was first developed in 1952. The watch with its defining circular slide rule that could perform all in-flight calculations was originally conceived for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Representing its heritage as a pilot’s chronograph, the new Navitimer Boeing 747 features the AOPA logo at 12 o’clock and an integrated date window at 6 o’clock.
The “Boeing 747” name is subtly integrated into the slide rule’s inner scale and is mounted on a black alligator leather strap or seven-row metal bracelet. Breitling’s incredible Caliber 01 movement has 70 hours of power reserve and is backed by a five-year warranty.
This incredible watch collection is limited to 747 pieces. The caseback contains the special engravings “One of 747” and the phrase “The Original Jumbo Jet” as a tribute to the aircraft that changed the way we travel.
