Canali and Inter forge a sartorial partnership for the next three seasons

The Italian luxury maison becomes the official supplier of formalwear and off-field outfits for the Milan-based soccer team.

Luxury menswear brand Canali has just penned an exciting new collaboration with FC Internazionale Milano. This new three-year collaboration will see Canali become the official formal wear partner of FC Internazionale Milano, best known as Inter, and one of the two main soccer teams of Milan.

The tie-in commemorates the special ties between the two Milanese icons, both torch-bearers of virtuosity and ingenuity in their fields. The brand has picked a remarkable year for its debut in the football arena. As 2024 celebrates the brand’s 90th anniversary, Inter has clinched the Italian championship for the 20th time, earning their Second Star.

In honor of the completion of 90 years, Canali launched a special anniversary capsule collection, and an exhibition, during Milan Fashion Week in June.

As per the new deal, Canali volunteered to design off-field uniforms for Inter’s players, coach, management team, and staff. This follows the three-year agreement Inter established with Moncler in 2021.

For the next football season, two ensembles are lined up for the first-team players, a four-pocket cotton gabardine safari jacket with drawstrings, a lightweight knit t-shirt, soft trousers, and suede moccasins, all in sand and Canali’s iconic Brianza green for Spring. For the winter, in Nerazzurri tones, a diamond-quilted bomber, a hand-sewn double fabric overshirt, a merino wool turtleneck, loose-fit trousers, and a moccasin with a natural rubber sole.

Coach Simone Inzaghi, the management, and the club staff will don a flawless wool suit with a shirt, merino wool pullover, and jacquard silk tie. Furthermore, the attire can be paired with a three-quarter-length padded overcoat in soft-touch nylon.

Canali has customized its arrow-shaped logo and embedded the Inter emblem, appearing in tonal colorways and adapting to the garment colors as a patch that is always visible yet never intrusive.

Canali and Inter, with their deeply entrenched and shared Italian heritage and global footprint, form the union of Made in Italy and international repute. Since 1934, Canali has laid emphasis on Italian craftsmanship worldwide, while Inter, with its name and history, personifies the essence of universality.

Despite other sports gaining fashion attention, soccer remains a key focus for luxury labels, with players increasingly becoming involved in fashion. Several luxury houses have or have had ties with soccer clubs, including Loro Piana with Juventus, Thom Browne with FC Barcelona, Zegna with Real Madrid, Paul Smith with Manchester United, Giorgio Armani with Chelsea, and Fendi with AS Roma, among others.
