Dusit International, ÀNI Private Resorts and Harilela Hotels are opening three new luxury hotels between 2026 and 2027, each positioned in a different country, as the three hospitality groups continue their expansion into Japan, Anguilla and Singapore.

WE Hotel Toya, a lakeside retreat in Hokkaido designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates, has become the first Dusit Collection property in Japan. Officially joining the brand on July 1, 2026, it is Dusit’s third hotel in the country, following ASAI Kyoto Shijo and Dusit Thani Kyoto.
Situated in the southern region of Hokkaido, the hotel is located on the shores of Lake Tōya in Toya-Usu UNESCO Global Geopark. The hotel is approximately 1.5 hours by car from New Chitose Airport. It was originally opened in 2018, with architecture by Kengo Kuma & Associates, whose portfolio includes the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo and the V&A Dundee in Scotland. Natural materials, warm textures and a contemporary take on Japanese craftsmanship connect the interiors to the surrounding lake, forests and mountains.

The property consists of 55 lake-view guestrooms and three two-storey villas. Each guestroom is approximately 37 square metres and includes a private open-air bath overlooking Lake Tōya. A large communal bath with panoramic lake views is also available to guests.
Culinary concepts at the resort have been refreshed as part of the move to Dusit Collection, combining Japanese craftsmanship with Dusit’s Thai heritage. EZO Cuisine highlights Hokkaido’s culinary heritage through Japanese cuisine with international technique. Breakfast options including Japanese and Thai set menus featuring local vegetables, Hokkaido rice, dairy, seasonal juices and herbal teas. The Noodle Bar serves Thai dishes including Tom Yum noodles and Khao Soi. TARU Bar serves organic Japanese teas from Dusit’s tea garden in Kyoto alongside sake, whisky and craft liqueurs. Toya Bar features cocktails and premium spirits for evenings by the lake.

Chanin Donavanik, Group CEO of Dusit International, said, “Japan is an important strategic market for Dusit, and the arrival of Dusit Collection represents another exciting milestone in our journey to bring our unique style of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality to destinations with distinctive character and strong cultural appeal. WE Hotel Toya, Dusit Collection perfectly embodies the spirit of the Dusit Collection brand, demonstrating how thoughtful design, local connections, and personalised service can come together to create experiences that truly reflect their destinations.”
ÀNI Private Resorts expands its global portfolio with the January 2027 opening of ÀNI Shoal Bay, a 15-suite exclusive-use beachfront retreat on Anguilla’s celebrated northern coastline. The new property will join the group’s current collection of luxury resorts in the Dominican Republic, Thailand and Sri Lanka, designed exclusively for one group at a time.

Much larger than a regular villa and more personalized than a normal hotel, ÀNI Shoal Bay represents the most complete expression to date of the private resort concept that ÀNI has spent over a decade refining. Multigenerational families, milestone celebrations and corporate retreats get complete, uninterrupted control over the entire guest experience, backed by a dedicated 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio.
Anguilla holds particular significance for the brand. Founder Tim Reynolds first established ÀNI Anguilla in 2011, alongside the founding of the first ÀNI Art Academy, combining hospitality and philanthropy into one vision. ÀNI Shoal Bay is ANI’s second property in Anguilla.

“Coming back to Anguilla is deeply personal. This is where ÀNI began, not simply as a property, but as a way of thinking about travel. It was never about creating another luxury destination. It was about creating a space where people could truly be together without barriers, and where each stay contributes to the place that hosts it,” Reynolds said.
AW², led by partner architects Reda Amalou and Stéphanie Ledoux, designed the estate along the Shoal Bay-Island Harbour Marine Park. Natural limestone, pale sands and silvered woods echo the textures of Anguilla, letting the surrounding landscape take precedence over the built environment. Expansive, fluid living spaces transition into outdoor terraces, central pools and the natural landscape rather than enclosing guests in separate structures.
A total of 15 ocean-facing suites accommodate up to 30 guests, positioned to maximise both personal privacy and shared views of the coast. The Shoal Bay Suite, at the property’s centre, offers a secluded residential experience with its own rooftop deck and uninterrupted views. Twelve of the 15 suites are fully wheelchair accessible, a feature built into the estate rather than added afterward, allowing multigenerational groups to experience every moment together.

ÀNI Shoal Bay has no fixed schedule or imposed structure. Every stay is based on the specific preferences of the individual group, with a full-service staff led by a resident General Manager and Guest Experience Curator, alongside private executive chefs, estate mixologists, wellness therapists and a dedicated tennis professional.
On-property facilities include a private beach club reserved solely for ÀNI guests, a private kitchen and a fully stocked bar, hosting DJ nights and beachfront dining. A private spa includes a hydrotherapy circuit with a hammam-inspired steam room, cold plunge and open-air jacuzzi, along with dedicated treatment rooms, and up to 12 treatments per person are included daily. A central tower houses an ocean-facing fitness centre outfitted by Technogym, an open-air platform for yoga and meditation, and a supervised kids’ club with its own pool and waterslide.
Spread across four manicured beachfront acres, the resort also features a main infinity pool, a landing pool, a kids’ pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a putting green, and complimentary snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and Hobie Cats.

CEO Yeshi Phuntsho said, “Luxury today is no longer defined by access; it is defined by freedom. The freedom to shape one’s time, enjoy complete privacy, and be fully present with the people who matter most. As luxury continues to evolve from ownership toward experience, what guests value most is genuine connection. At ÀNI, we have always believed that the most meaningful travel is shared, and ÀNI Shoal Bay is our most complete expression of that belief: a place where privacy, presence, and togetherness create an environment in which guests feel entirely at home together.”
Guests can also engage with the island’s creative community through the ÀNI Art Academies, as a tuition-free, multi-year fine art education programme for aspiring artists from under-resourced communities. Visitors may tour the local studio, meet the artists and purchase original work directly from them.

Harilela Hotels has set its sights on Singapore for The Hari Singapore, opening in 2027 as the third home for its hotel brand, joining existing properties in London and Hong Kong. The Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre will be transformed into a luxury 326-bedroom hotel featuring a rooftop pool, executive lounge, dining and wellness experiences, and the brand’s signature revolving rota of artwork.
British designer Tara Bernerd, who has previously proven her innovative style in The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong, will bring her approach to The Hari Singapore, in a way that mixes modern sophistication with a local touch, making the interiors luxurious yet comfortable and suitable for both local residents and tourists.

Dr. Aron Harilela, the brand’s founder, said, “This hotel, like our sister properties in Belgravia and Wan Chai, will embody relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and genuine heartfelt hospitality. Singapore is key to our ambition to evolve The Hari in major international destinations.”
Bookings for WE Hotel Toya are open now, with an introductory offer running through September 30, 2026. ÀNI Shoal Bay is scheduled to open in January 2027, with exclusive-use rates starting at $35,000++ USD per night for a group of 30 guests (all inclusive). The Hari Singapore will have a formal opening in spring 2027.
