It’s unsurprising that Sabato De Sarno’s journey toward his dreams commences in the oldest corner of Milan. Considering his fashion philosophy, which revolves around meticulous attention to detail and a deep passion for the craft, it becomes clear why Gucci found synergy with a handmade leather goods shop, Pettinaroli, established back in 1881. The two produced a monogrammed notebook as part of the collection. But of course, there’s more to this assortment.
This season’s Gucci Fall Winter collection seamlessly blends elements from the Spring/Summer 2024 line, as seen in the introduction of chic peacoats. Slouchy knitted cardigans, elegantly cinched trenches embellished with crystal beading, and an abundance of leather jackets and bombers were seen. Extremely delicious!
There were hints of scintillating sensuality in the collection with sheer slip dresses.
A notable addition to the collection is a new top-handle bag showcasing a flat and perforated logo crafted in Nappa leather with a naturally silky texture.
Footwear takes center stage with the iconic horse-riding boots, emblematic of Gucci’s longstanding connection with equestrianism. The classic silhouette features an elongated metal Horsebit, extending its legacy into a unique over-the-knee version.
The Horsebit loafers undergo a transformative evolution into a platform sandal, showcasing the brand’s commitment to refined craftsmanship.
The collection also pays homage to the brand’s heritage with an archival necklace in galvanized gold, adorned with a studded motif intricately woven with a ribbon that harmonizes with the garment closest to the neck. The crystal studded fabric chokers defined power.
Cat-eye acetate sunglasses completed the collection.
Each piece in this collection is a shining example of Gucci’s ability to seamlessly marry tradition with creativity. As the creative director says, “Capture the extraordinary where the ordinary is expected.”
For his third collection with Gucci, the designer curated a distinctive experience, accompanied by the evocative sounds of “Coronacid” performed by Did Virgo and Morgan K, and the enchanting melody of “I’m Not in Love” performed by Kelsey Lu.
