Including suites & residences, Six Senses opens its first property in UAE on Palm Jumeirah

Six Senses Palm Dubai
With reservations open for September 2026, the brand makes its UAE debut with a Longevity Clinic, biohacking facilities, and one of Dubai’s largest dedicated wellness facilities spanning 60,000 square feet.

Six Senses has spent three decades building a reputation in some of the world’s most remote and naturally rich locations, from the Maldivian atolls and Himalayan foothills to the valleys of Oman, by treating wellness not as an add-on but as a core part of how its hotels are built and run. Its arrival on Palm Jumeirah, one of the most commercially busy luxury addresses in the world, is a deliberate move, and a telling one.

The brand has opened reservations for Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, its first property in the United Arab Emirates, with stays available from September 1, 2026. Sitting on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, the resort offers 61 suites and 172 privately owned residences, with views across the Arabian Gulf, The Palm, and Dubai’s skyline.

Architecture and interiors have been handled by SAOTA, a Cape Town-based design firm with a strong track record across luxury residential and hotel projects on multiple continents. At The Palm, the design draws from the region’s building traditions while keeping the look and feel modern. Suites are finished with natural materials such as stone and timber, set against sandy tones, with floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces, some with pools, keeping spaces bright and well-ventilated through the day.

Planted courtyards, shaded garden walkways, and water features run through the resort, guiding guests toward the private beach. The layout is built around ease of movement and moments of rest, a design approach that takes more effort to get right in Dubai’s climate than most visitors would assume.

Wellness is the property’s main offering, not a background feature. The spa and wellness facilities cover 60,000 square feet and bring together time-tested therapies with newer health science. Facilities include a Longevity Clinic, which offers personalised health assessments and treatments focused on long-term physical wellbeing, hydrotherapy pools, biohacking experiences, and an Alchemy Bar, where guests can create personalised health blends, and both indoor and outdoor spaces for yoga and meditation.

Programs are tailored to each guest and led by resident specialists as well as visiting health practitioners. InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), which acquired Six Senses in 2019, has given the brand room to develop this model carefully before expanding it at scale, and The Palm is one of its most complete expressions of it so far.

Food is guided by the brand’s ‘Eat with Six Senses’ philosophy, a straightforward approach built around seasonal ingredients, regional sourcing, and simple preparation. The resort works directly with local farmers, fishermen, and food producers across the UAE. Its four dining spaces are designed to feel relaxed and easy rather than formal, with the focus placed on the food itself.

Sustainability has been factored into the construction and day-to-day running of the property, developed alongside MAB Environmental Consultancy. The resort is targeting LEED certification, an internationally recognised standard for environmentally responsible buildings, and has been built to comply with Dubai’s EHS Green Building Code, which covers energy use, water consumption, material choices, and air quality indoors.

An Earth Lab on the property runs hands-on workshops for guests on practical sustainability, and a dedicated fund supports community projects in the surrounding area. In a city where energy demands are consistently among the highest in the world due to its climate, these are not small commitments.

Families are catered to through ‘Grow With Six Senses’, a program that covers six areas of personal development: social, environmental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual. It is built to give younger guests real, engaging experiences rather than screen-based entertainment.

The 172 residences include Penthouses, Royal Penthouses, duplex Sky Villas, and nine five-bedroom beachfront Signature Villas. Owners receive a dedicated service team and full access to the resort’s facilities.

Branded residences have become a significant part of how luxury hotel groups now grow globally, offering buyers a managed lifestyle with consistent standards. Six Senses The Palm is the first of two such projects the brand is developing in Dubai. The second, Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, is due to open in 2028 and is planned to become the world’s tallest residential tower, built around the same focus on health and long-term living.

To mark the opening, the brand has put together a ‘Discover Six Senses The Palm’ package for couples and families. It covers guided wellness sessions, Earth Lab and Alchemy Bar experiences, and daily breakfasts.

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai sits approximately 35 minutes from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and 25 minutes from Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Private transfers can be arranged by land or sea.
