It revisits classic collegiate codes, tailoring, rowing aesthetics, university insignia, by filtering them through the movement of style across borders and decades.
The collection draws from early 20th-century British heritage dressing and its transformation into American university style. It captures what happens when traditional clothing systems shift contexts, adapting in shape and meaning. Mr. Williams builds on this idea to create a layered, dandy-inspired wardrobe with collegiate sports references, particularly rowing, that signal focus, rhythm and teamwork in a contemporary way.
Muted earth tones anchor the palette, punctuated with bold, saturated colours pulled from classic university pennants. These contrasts help define a silhouette that moves fluidly between casual and tailored, sporty and polished. The garments are made with autumn’s unpredictable climate in mind, using materials that allow for layering and versatility. Pieces shift between levels of formality, giving room to dress up or pare down without losing coherence.
Tailored jackets and outerwear feature embroidered university-style crests, while mixed-material pieces like tech-fabric blousons, varsity jackets, and track tops nod to sport. Signature Louis Vuitton details are reinterpreted through collegiate iconography. Monogram Tartan appears in beige and blue tone-on-tone jacquard across hooded blousons, flannel shirts, and denim sets. The Monogram Heritage stripe is applied to windbreakers and travel-ready knitwear, while a macro Monogram Seeds motif blends the Louis Vuitton flower with a Damier-style grain texture, executed in pigment print, laser engraving or chainstitch embroidery.
LV Club Flags, graphic pennants created in embroidery and print, appear on denim jackets and casual outerwear. College crests with laurel, letter, and emblem patches reinforce the preppy undertone. Outerwear continues to balance function and elegance: a double-face wool, cashmere and silk blouson reverses into the Monogram Heritage stripe; a padded Monogram jacket can be worn as a layering piece or standalone; and tailored coats range from bouclette formality to a more relaxed camel version with detachable scarf.
Knitwear and jersey tops reflect the mid-season feel, including seven-gauge knits and designs embroidered with “Marque Louis Vuitton Déposée” in knit-effect techniques. Below the waist, the collection incorporates workwear codes into preppy silhouettes, cargo trousers, shorts, and refined trucker jackets all point to the evolving nature of menswear.
Accessories reinforce the collegiate visual language. Customisation continues with hot-stamped initials on name tags. The Speedy P9 is introduced in suede with debossed Monogram flowers, paired with two silk scarves that wrap around its handles.
The collection also introduces turtle-shaped charms and wearable wallets made from canvas and leather, a Monogram pochette shaped like a rugby ball, and a calf leather clutch, all referencing Ivy League sports.
