Celebrating the flavorful Malaysian cuisine, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is launching ‘Truly Malaysia’, a food festival, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia and The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. More than food, it will be a window into the Malaysian culture as well.
From January 27 to February 1, 2025, JW Café will host traditional Malaysian dances and captivating performances as well as interactive activities. This event marks the first international launch of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign and an inaugural partnership with Marriott International, setting the tone for future global ventures.
The Malay menu at the ‘Truly Malaysia’ festival is certainly the star of the show, curated by two culinary maestros, Chef Luqman Rusman, Sous Chef at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, and Chef Prakash Chettiyar, Director of Culinary at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. With over 13 years of experience, Chef Luqman brings a refreshing touch to Malay cuisine.
The menu is a feast for the senses, featuring authentic delicacies like Assam Laksa Veg Soup and an enticing selection of satays, Malaysian Chicken, Broccoli, Lamb, and Mushroom. Artisanal salads like Rojak Salad and Kerabu Manga are a must have before the tantalizing main course lineup, including Vegetable Mee Curry, Char Kway Teow Noodles, Lamb Rendang Curry, and Nasi Kerabu.
To top it all off, an array of traditional desserts, Kuih Dadar, Onde Onde, Kuih Lapis, Sago Gula Melaka, and more—offers the perfect sweet finale.
