Minor Hotels will expand its NH Collection brand in Spain’s Balearic Islands by opening the doors of NH Collection Ibiza in April this year. Previously operating as Sir Joan Hotel and owned by AX Partners, which purchased the hotel not long ago, the hotel is to be refurbished to the level of NH Collection premium hospitality offerings before re-opening under that name.
This latest transformation builds on a comprehensive refurbishment completed in 2017, with further enhancements planned for both facilities and services. A key focus will be on elevating the gastronomic experience, introducing a new restaurant and curated cocktail offerings. The five-star NH Collection Ibiza aims to position itself as a premier destination for high-end travelers.
Overlooking Ibiza’s port and old town, the hotel already serves as a hub for both national and international visitors. With its strategic location now paired with Minor Hotels’ management, the property is set to become a major player in Ibiza’s premium hospitality sector.
NH Collection Ibiza’s debut follows the brand’s first opening of the year, NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso in Italy, which will welcome guests in March. Together, these openings mark a significant expansion for NH Collection, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary with nearly 100 properties worldwide.
