Swiss watchmaker MB&F redefines the LM Split Escapement EVO for a unique Taipei edition

The latest robust horological marvel boasts a new color scheme and bezel-free design.

MB&F EVO Taipei

MB&F’s LM Split Escapement ‘EVO’ series welcomes a new member, a sports watch that will intrigue both watch aficionados and those seeking a blend of classic and contemporary aesthetics in a sports watch. The Legacy Machine EVO Taipei edition – made to celebrate transformation of their existing boutique in Taiwan into a redesigned “MB&F Lab” – comes with a fresh interpretation in black and green.

While the core design elements remain faithful to the series’ heritage, the fresh palette breathes new life into this timepiece, infusing it with a sense of individuality and style. Limited to 20 pieces, the watch will be available in grey and white rubber straps.

Compared to its predecessor, the LM Split Escapement ‘EVO’ series, the entire movement has been artfully rotated 30 degrees clockwise. It was to reshape the watch’s symmetry and bestow it with a fresh, distinctive character. The sporty watch is powered by a manual-winding caliber comprised of 298 components. It has a water resistance of 80 meters and flaunts the same old 44mm titanium. Notably, it incorporates a user-friendly and foolproof rapid date-changing mechanism, eliminating the hassle of adjusting the date with the crown.

With the re-opening of the boutique – constructed in partnership with Swiss Prestige – scheduled for mid-October, watch enthusiasts might not want to miss the future of horology and the world of imaginative timekeeping.
