The iconic, much-revered Indian Accent New Delhi celebrates 15 years

And nothing beats a flashback feast with classic favs!

Indian Accent, the iconic restaurant established by Chef Manish Mehrotra, changed the definition of fine dining in India. It offered an evolved menu that expressed Indian cuisine in novel ways. And now, it has spun a classic surprise to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

The New Delhi restaurant will be offering guests a nostalgic journey back to 2009 with a special tasting menu that revisits their original favorites. This flashback menu showcases iconic dishes that have remained timeless classics, inviting diners to relive the flavors that made Indian Accent legendary. Also, to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Indian Accent will head out on a culinary tour across 15 cities in India and worldwide, starting with Nadodi at the Four Seasons in Kuala Lumpur on August 22.

The highlights begin with appetizers like whole meal and semolina puchkas with three waters; paneer tikka chaat; khakra mille feuille with shimla mirch mayo; or chicken tikka chaat. Don’t miss out on panko-crusted bharwan mirch with goat cheese mousse; smoked duck shaami with crispy seviyan and barberry chutney; tandoori Scottish salmon with dill leaves and Greek-style yogurt; and peanut butter beetroot tikki with caper wasabi chutney.

For mains, the menu gets even more nostalgic with masala morels with water chestnut, asparagus, and paper roast dosai, or paneer lasagna which the vegetarians will surely love. Specials for non-vegetarians include garlic and khada masala roast chicken or rice-crusted john dory moilee. Last but not the least, guests will have a trio of kinnaur apple crumble with vanilla bean ice cream, coconut and jaggery brulee, ruby grapefruit pops, and amarula ki chuski to feast on.

Since the year of the restaurant’s original New Delhi location launch in 2009, it has stood as one of the favorite among epicureans. Celebrated as a culinary jewel, Indian Accent has redefined traditional Indian cuisine with a contemporary flair over the past 15 years. It was named among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and was recognized by Time Magazine as one of the ‘World’s 100 Greatest Places.’

Its innovative approach, blending authentic flavors with modern presentation, has captivated diners. The restaurant’s global journey began with a successful New York debut in 2016. It expanded further with a prestigious opening at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai last year.

The Flashback 6-course Chef’s Tasting Menu is available until August 31, 2024, at a price of Rs. 5,400 per person (vegetarian) and Rs. 5, 500 per person (non-vegetarian). American Express members receive a special pricing of Rs. 1,800 per person for lunch.
